What is The Tommy Bolin Memorial Fund?

In 1998, Johnnie Bolin and Bolin fans from across the country had a dream to develop a charitable foundation in memory of the late Tommy Bolin. The process has been a long one, but has been fully and permanently realized in 2010. In partnership with the Siouxland Community Foundation, the Tommy Bolin Memorial Fund in addition to the Tommy Bolin Endowment Fund have been created.

The Tommy Bolin Memorial Fund Goals:

  • Acquiring, restoring and archiving memoribilia related to the life and career of Tommy Bolin.
  • Establish a permanent exhibit at the Sioux City Public Museum in tribute to the legacy of Tommy Bolin.
  • Receive proceeds from the annual Tommy Bolin Festival, a charity driven event that benefits a primary charity eaach year.

The Tommy Bolin Endowment Fund Goals:

  • A permanent legacy to the memory of Tommy Bolin.
  • This fund is intended to operate indefinitely.

    • The Tommy Bolin Memorial Scholarship:

  • To be funded by the endowment fund in the future.
  • Specific criteria for various types of scholarships will be determined.
